City & Travel Tips

Located in the south of Guangdong Province, China, ShenZhen forms part of the Pearl River Delta megalopolis. The city is located in immediately north of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The economy of this young city has developed rapidly since it was established as the first Special Economic Zone of China. ShenZhen is not only a major financial center but also an important high-tech researching and manufacturing base in southern China.



Transportation



International Flight Connections

As a modern international airport integrated with ocean, land and air transportation in China, Shenzhen Baoan International Airport is the first international airport with transit transportation mode in China. With navigation opened in October 1991, Shenzhen Baoan International Airport had opened 141 air lines, both domestically and internationally, by the end of June 2013, connecting 103 cities both at home and abroad and 9 passenger and cargo transportation base aviation companies. As of November 2016, Shenzhen International Airport operates 24 international (regional) routes, connecting 23 cities. International passenger flight destinations include: Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Sabah, Osaka, Tokyo, Seoul, Phuket, Bali, Jeju, Ho Chi Minh, Dubai, Sydney, Los Angeles, Frankfurt, Jakarta, Seattle, Siem Reap and Da Nang. Regional passenger flight destinations include: Macao, Taipei, Kaohsiung and Taichung.



Train Connections

There are mainly four railway stations in ShenZhen and they are Shenzhen Railway Station, Shenzhen North Railway Station, Shenzhen West Railway Station, Shenzhen East Railway Station. If you have a choice, you should choose Shenzhen North Railway Station as this station is closer located to the venue.
